Concept: Traditional drama with the potential for lots of suspense.
Story:
Characters:
Dialog:
Pacing: Most of the episode is spent either on Kirk's love life, or finding various ways of restating "we can't be sure!"
Cinematography:
Special effects/design: The costume design is really awful. They did everything they could to ruin this episode, and nearly managed it.

Subjective Rating: 7/10 (Good, ). The confrontation between Kirk and Karidian is among the best scenes in the series. Sadly there's not a lot else in this episode that's especially good.
