My wife and I watch a lot of movies. Enough that I felt the need to make a dedicated blog for keeping track of them and what I thought of them. When we watch something, I make a post about it.

I give each title a grade (A, B, C, D or F) for each of the following aspects:
- concept
- story
- characters
- dialog
- pacing
- cinematography
- special effects/design
- acting
- music
- enjoyment (how much fun I had watching the movie)
and average them for a GPA on a 4 point scale.

In the "enjoyment" category, I allow for a grade of A+ (calculated as 5.0), meaning my favorite movies get an extra point.

Ratings have gone through a lot of changes over time as I figured out the best way to do them, which is why if you look through old posts you'll likely see some confusion, crossed-out bits, and things generally different from what's described above.
