Director: Mike Newell
Writer: Steve Kloves, based on the book by J.K. Rowling
Starring: Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson

I saw it: in the theater, 2005; on video a couple times (have on DVD), most recently yesterday
Synopsis: a student at a magical boarding school is forced to perform death-defying stunts

My reaction
Concept:2/4 (Indifferent)
Story:0/4 (Terrible) I'm sorry, but this one doesn't make sense.
Characters:3/4 (Good)
Dialog:2/4 (Indifferent)
Pacing:1/4 (Bad)
Cinematography:3/4 (Good)
Special effects/design:3/4 (Good)
Acting:3/4 (Good)
Music:2/4 (Indifferent)
Subjective Rating: 5/10 (Indifferent, 2/4 (Indifferent)). Nope, doesn't make any sense. And if it did, it would be too rushed and jumbled and long for it to work, anyway. It has its moments, some good character bits and excellent casting, but mostly it's a huge pile of disappointment.
Objective Rating (Average):2.1/4 (Okay)
