I saw it: on video and TV several times, most recently a few days ago (have on DVD)
Synopsis: an escaped prisoner raises suspicions about a penal colony's methods

My reaction
Concept:4/4 (Great) Good science for a change, and a dramatic scenario.
Story:3/4 (Good)
Characters:4/4 (Great) It's a shame Helen Noel didn't become a regular character. I'd like to think Kirk found some excuse to transfer her off his ship.
Dialog:3/4 (Good)
Pacing:3/4 (Good)
Cinematography:2/4 (Indifferent)
Special effects/design:4/4 (Great)
Acting:3/4 (Good)
Music:4/4 (Great)
Subjective Rating: 9/10 (One of my favorites, 4/4 (Great)). A deranged man loose on the ship, brain washing, the first Vulcan mind meld, completely believable science, and an intelligent female lead (who, incidentally, is very talented at wearing a miniskirt). What's not to like?
Objective Rating (Average):3.4/4 (Very good)
