My reaction
Concept:2/4 (Indifferent)
Story:2/4 (Indifferent)
Characters:3/4 (Good)
Dialog:2/4 (Indifferent)
Pacing:3/4 (Good)
Cinematography:2/4 (Indifferent)
Special effects/design:4/4 (Great)
Acting:3/4 (Good)
Music:4/4 (Great)
Subjective Rating: 8/10 (Great, 4/4 (Great)). The first Klingon episode, and there's a reason they went on to become so popular. The Klingon commander just makes a perfect adversary to Kirk, offering a well balanced challenge and forcing things into Military Strategy Mode. Sadly the plot turns to crap, and nothing that the characters do ends up mattering. I've still got to call it great, though.
Objective Rating (Average):2.9/4 (Good)
