Length: 94 minutes
Director: Jonathan Lynn
Writer: Jonathan Lynn; story by John Landis & Lynn
Starring: Eileen Brennan, Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd, Michael McKean, Martin Mull, Lesley Ann Warren
Music: John Morris (and non-original music)
I saw it: on video many times, most recently yesterday (have on DVD)
Synopsis: a dinner party murder mystery
Concept: They just don't make this sort of movie anymore.
Characters: Walking cliches, but that's the point. If there was anything more to them, it would be tedious.
Dialog: Most of the jokes are very old, but they're funny anyway.
Subjective Rating: 9/10 (One of my favorites, [edit: 5/4]). It's poorly made in a lot of respects, but watching it is just a good time. Lots of silliness and vaudeville-style gags - kind of like a muppet movie, minus the characters and singing.
Objective Rating (Average): [edit: 2.9/4 (Good)]
