Subjective Rating: 6/10 (Okay, ). It's one of those concepts that has enormous appeal for your inner eight-year-old.  But then the focus of the episode ends up being a tediously half-assed love triangle between Kirk, a childish idiot (who is inexplicably the aliens' queen), and a stock jealous man.  And none of the science (and little of the plot) makes sense.
