My reaction
Concept:1/4 (Bad)
Story:1/4 (Bad)
Characters:0/4 (Terrible)
Dialog:1/4 (Bad)
Pacing:1/4 (Bad)
Cinematography:2/4 (Indifferent)
Special effects/design:3/4 (Good)
Acting: n/a
Music:1/4 (Bad)
Subjective Rating: 3/10 (Bad, 1/4 (Bad)). It seems like documentary Oscars are only given out for importance of subject matter, with no regard for the quality of the film. Two hours of talking heads, discussing economics, all with the purpose of telling a story that everyone (who cares enough to watch the movie) already knows anyway. So boring. And shameless. If you're out to make some of the most evil people alive look bad, you really should not need to resort to cheap shots (like cutting away from interviewees before they have a chance to respond to your calling them liars). Maybe all the movie critics that gave it glowing reviews have never heard of NPR, where you get the exact same stuff (minus the pseudo-journalistic bullshit) pretty much every day for the last three years.
Objective Rating (Average):1.2/4 (Bad)
