My reaction
Concept:
Story: A lot doesn't work. The book is a sprawling jumble of messy storytelling (like Rowling is more concerned with letting fans know what happens to all their beloved characters than with how the plot is paced), and that's magnified here.

Pacing: It's not in fast forward as much as previous installments have been, but there's no time for anything but action.
Cinematography: I don't know if it was the film's fault of the theater's fault, but a lot of it was too dark to see what's going on. Probably the theater's fault. I know it's supposed to be a dark movie, but this was impossibly dark.

Subjective Rating: 7/10 (Good, ). Entertaining but too hurried. Nothing has any weight to it. About as much time is spent with 30-second cameos as with main characters, kind of like there's a giant curtain call (for the cast of eight movies) going on at the same time as the story. I had fun, though, despite a particularly bad theater-going experience. (That's one more multiplex to cross off the list of cinemas that are worth the price - I now have to drive at least 90 minutes if I want to see a movie before it's on video.)
